The Touchwood Bookshelf – “itself the PhD”

The Touchwood Bookshelf is, after returning from a year or so in storage, now situated in the Kitchen at NASA at Big Tree Harare, where I make myself a cup of tea and coffee, and occasionally cook myself a meal. The Kitchen adjoins my living-quarters come office space where all the action happens here at NASA.

Thanks to a piece of wordplay and shy genius The Touchwood Bookshelf itself doubles as my PhD which is lodged with Big Tree Harare itself – the ubiquitous University of Life. I, in this unusual happenstance, am the shy and quietly-spoken librarian of said bookshelf and “nutty” professor of this establishment.

And so, having said as much, we find ourselves with no better an idea as to what exactly The Touchwood Bookshelf aims to achieve. And so on to the meat and vegetables of the matter…
